Number Plate Transfers

Transferring private number plates isn't as difficult as some personal number plate dealers would have you believe- your first consideration is the status of the private number plate - it will either be on retention or on a vehicle.However, you can have your personalised registration plate supplied on a certificate (for this we will not require your documents).When appropriate, the vehicle documents can be taken or posted to the nearest local DVLA office.Specify the expiry date of your vehicle's tax disc (do not post us the actual tax disc).The choice is yours.

If taken in person, the transfer process will be performed while you wait.Let Plate Master do all the work for you!Alternatively, you can post them to us along with the certificate we supplied you and we will complete the transfer.This may be preferable if you want to purchase a number plate as a gift.Simply send us your vehicle documents and we will make the necessary modifications to them, completing the transfer process, free of charge.Should you opt for our transfer service during your purchase, we will request that you send us the following documents by post (we recommend you use recorded delivery for security reasons): * The V5 Vehicle Registration Document (also known as the log book).

When you have received your replacement documents you may attach the new number plates to your vehicle.Note:- You have 12 months from the day the certificate was issued to assign the registration number to a vehicle.The vehicle's MOT certificate if the vehicle is over 3 years old.The entire document will be required.
